No matter how large, our own personal library does not always
have just the right image for a particular need. We contract through
a group of photographic libraries to purchase individual photos as
needed.

How to take and send quality photos.
We can accept items to be scanned, slides, digital photos and
prints and 35 mm slides and negatives.
When sending us
your images in either CD ROMS or by email please review these
suggestions to make sure that you only need to do this once.
Some of these might seem obvious but you would be surprised at
what we have received.
Please make sure...
Your image
is in focus.
Make sure
the entire image is in frame.
Product
photos look best against white background.
Light
colored products can work against a black background.
Make sure
your lens is clean.
Look out for
flash flares on reflective surfaces.
Shooting
outside in natural light usually gives the truest color
results.
Hard to get
a shot without distortion, try standing above with the
object on a flat surface below you.
Do Not...
Do not send
images larger than 800 pixels (long side).
Do not send
lower than 150 dpi or higher than 200 dpi.
Do not send
images embedded in PDF or Word documents.
Send images as email attachments only.
Do not send
more than 1 MB by email at a time.
Use our File Upload Utility to send files larger than 1 MB.
Do not optimize or resample photos beyond the above limits.
You will be given image specs for your site.
Do not send
blurry, out of focus or dirty lens photos.
